Hellman's Real Mayonnaise

OK, just a quick gripe tonight. I'm a HUGE Mayonnaise fan. I love it on more stuff than the average consumer. My all time favorite has always been the Hellmann's brand. All my life I have always paid the extra money for the Hellmann's because it's was simply the best. I never liked the other brands at all, especially one that acts like Mayo but really isn't. You all know which one I am talking about...
The other day I went to get my normal 30oz jar and I almost screamed the price out to the entire store! $8.19, Are you kidding me? The price has doubled! Straight from the Hellmann's website here are the INGREDIENTS: SOYBEAN OIL, WATER, WHOLE EGGS AND EGG YOLKS, VINEGAR, SALT, SUGAR, LEMON JUICE, NATURAL FLAVORS, CALCIUM DISODIUM EDTA (USED TO PROTECT QUALITY). That's it. I did a bit of research and the costs of the ingredients have not increased significantly if at all. Is it the shipping? What the heck is it? Is it because the warm weather is almost back which means more people doing outdoor stuff like picnics using more mayo, so jack up the price like Airlines do during a Holiday?
I'm in my 40's now and have been consuming Hellmann's Mayo since before I could read  the label. I have news for Hellmann's though. At those prices, I will find a way to like a different brand mayo or maybe just use a different condiment all together.
Of course I could just start stacking up on the free packs of mayo from fast food places! Free always tastes better anyway.

There is an old saying that even used to be on t-shirts years ago. "Eat right, exercise....Die Anyway".
