Do You Sleep With A Fan On At Night

I have tried and tried to find the percentage difference between men and women that like to sleep with a fan on at night and I just can't find any research on it. I personally cannot sleep without the fan breeze blowing in my face! For me, the more fans the better! Maybe it's from growing up in Key West back when that was all we had to cool us off at night were and open window with the ocean breeze and a fan.
The comments all over the internet seem to be 50/50. Heck if I travel, I will bring one of those tiny desktop clip on fans just to get my breeze! I have been asking around to all my friends and again, I'm getting 50/50 answers. I didn't realize there so many fan lovers out there. There are different reasons also. Some like the sound, some the breeze, etc.
I also personally know the fan on at night can start an argument every time!
How many people out there started dating someone they REALLY liked and then found out they either sleep with or without one and that was the relationship killer? I think it would be funny to know!

Weed: Sin or Savior?

My last Blog was about a highly debated Issue which was about the Year 2012 and the” End Of the World”, and I only wrote about it because I received a lot of inquiries on ASKBEIRO.COM. I don’t usually like to write too much on long term, highly debated issues, but now I'm getting a bunch of people asking me where I stand on Weed, Pot, Marijuana., whatever you wanna call it. I know a million names for it but who the heck wants to go through them all?
Have I tried it? Yes, many years ago. Do I still smoke? NO.
Mostly because it's ILLEGAL and I could lose my job over it! Now, if it were LEGAL and I was home, and knew I had a full box of Frosted Flakes in the kitchen I might just take a hit if a friend I had over once every few months offered it to me. LMAO
Seriously, I have a close friend that has a young teenager that thinks it's just “cool” but hasn't officially tried it yet, and I think that is a problem. This friend has this teenager under control though and is doing what it takes to make sure.
Adults? Different story. If you are old enough to go to the club and LEGALLY do shots and drink yourself into an unconscious state, then take a taxi home, there is a problem on why a naturally grown plant that has been smoked for hundreds of years is illegal. Millions of dollars spent searching for pot crops, and all these dumb ass agents dressed up like Mercenaries going deep into the woods to chop down pot plants. Guys, go bust some Meth Labs or something.
If it was legal and offered at the liquor stores right next to the 40's what would you prefer? That someone grabs a couple 40's and drives home drunk and maybe something terrible happens, or maybe they buy a joint, go home and eat the hell out of the refrigerator and go to sleep? You might get stuck driving behind them on the way home complaining they are driving to slow.
When was the last time you picked up the paper and read about people dying in a car accident and the driver was DWS (Driving While Stoned)?
You can research the CDC (Center For Disease Control) and good luck finding ONE pot related death. But you sure as heck will find a lot of other drug related deaths, and almost ALL of them are MAN MADE!
There are years and years of debate over legalizing it or not, and it is ridiculous. "Tax it", "it will settle the deficit",  "More empty space for real criminals if you empty the Jails and prisons of pot smokers", etc.

Here is a quote from some pissed off jerk from 2009:  "According to studies, the number of children and teenagers in treatment for marijuana dependence and abuse has increased 142% since 1992".
What this Ass did not further research is the the increase was for abuse, not "dependence". There is a difference between a teenager that thinks it's "cool" and tries it or sells it (abuse), and a teenager that smokes daily and is dependent on it!
Do your own research, there is plenty out there. Check out the big LEGIT Medical facilities. The answers will mostly be the same. "For most people, no, marijuana is not addictive. The vast majority of pot smokers never become addicted. But just because it rarely happens, doesn't mean it never happens".
The same goes for alcohol and a bunch of other drugs.
Man, this is getting too long.
I mentioned Savior in the Blog title. We all know the medicinal benefits of marijuana. To a lot of people it is a Savior. Again, do your own research. There are plenty medical FACTS on it's healing properties out there. I personally know people that are prescribed pot for various reasons and it tremendously helps their ailments. You wanna argue with me on all this? Then that's what I'm all about. If I'm wrong I can man up and admit it, but you better come with some really good facts, not some dumb ass opinions.
Bottom Line. I'm not a Doctor and I can't give official medical facts on the issue. I don't recommend or condone pot smoking and I also don't give a crap if someone I know does. I will do my best to teach my child what is right and what is wrong and all I can do then is pray.
I know people from all walks of life that smoke and function perfectly. From manual laborers to law enforcement and Judges! Not to mention all the famous people we all hear about on TV that admit to pot smoking and we all still love to watch them in whatever they do.
Hypocrisy just might be my next Blog........

Life... What's Real

Life........What's Real?  Get hooked up to a bunch a crap for a few days at a hospital and not be able to go home and all of a sudden the simple things that seemed unimportant becomes very important. Music, videos, flower seeds you planted, playing ball with your child, a flea on your dog, all of a sudden everything so small seems so big and important.
I think Doctors are over rated. Don't get me wrong, doctors know their stuff. But back in the day...we didn't go to doctors. We had a simple remedy for everything. Lucky or not, it seemed to work. In my Family, my Grandmother would go out to the garden and make up some stuff that tasted like crap but worked!
I think music is the key. Believe it or not, if you search hard enough, there is someone out there that has a song about your problem. Maybe it's not the perfect solution to yours, but I bet it's close.
We all want to make a difference. At least I like to think so. R. Kelly has received a lot of grief over the years, and he is not my favorite artist, but watch his video......http://vevo.ly/fh9RXm  It really made me think that if you try hard enough, you can make a difference.
Dreams are not always just dreams. Sometimes they become reality. They do not have to be big dreams, maybe just small ones. This goes against my deep belief that a dream is easily reached by rich people but not by normal people, but, after watching the video which is kinda deep and unrealistic in general, It makes me believe dreams can be reached, because dreams are big or small, depending on the person.
If you want to make a difference, you can. Big or small, the difference is always BIG. Because of what t means to someone else. What is smalll to you may be BIG to someone else.
This blog is a bit more on the emotional side than I am used to, but I just spent a few days in the hospital AND I MISSED MY DAUGHTER AND ALL THE "SIMPLE" things more than anyone can imagine.
AllI can say is be happy with who you are. We all could be in better shape, maybe be a bit better at whatever, just be a great parent if you have children, work your ass off if you live paycheck to paycheck,
I'm there with you. Be thankful for that roof over your head, and the food in the fridge. The great stuff will come later...you just have to know when it comes....

Dec 21st or 23rd 2012, Fact or Fiction?

This one drives me nuts. Should I start saving for a Bunker 5 miles deep under the ground? Or does it matter? or just a waste of time? The Tsunami's are supposed to cover the mountains, so high ground wont work either.
Everyone, well not EVERYONE, is believing the Mayan Calender is the end for all of us. Yes the Mayans are real people, yes they have this dang calender. I just watched a show on TV about these cave climbers that went into the deepest Mayan Cave ever known or explored. They got there and it was nothing but deep mud like quick sand. But maybe it was something spiritual to the Mayans down there back in the day? It sure wasn't spiritual to the the cave climbers. It got very technical instead when their gear malfunctioned.
Personally I think it was cool, but a waste of time. The only wild thing of it all was these cave explorers did it with all the high tech gear available and had major issues getting there, including an injured climber and the Mayans did it back in the day barefoot with no fancy gear.
I'm kind of in the middle of it all and trying to keep a positive belief of it all. I think it will be the end of the calendar and the beginning of a new one with no disaster at all.
The talk of a total spiritual change? Doubt it. Too many different spiritual beliefs across this earth. This world cant agree on the smallest of beliefs much less agree on one single spiritual belief.
We need to consider the most credible interpretations of the information we do possess on the Mayan works. On that note, who is credible? The Spiritualist? The Scientists? Anyone?
This is a very heavily debated issue and date. Where do you stand? What do you believe?
If you think we are all doomed you can go to http://www.instituteforhumancontinuity.org/  and register for the lottery for your chance for survival!
Me? I'm gonna ask Snopes if this is real or not cause Snopes knows all!

NFL LOCKOUT? MONEY, MONEY, MONEY!

This day and age it's all about money. Kinda sad. We could all use more money. Well, most of us anyway.
This NFL Lockout is making me crazy! All these guys in fancy suits sitting around arguing over billions of dollars. That's right, I said BILLIONS of dollars! Everyone in this freaking debacle is rich or close to it! Hell, I worry about if I have enough sick time to take off at work when I catch a bad flu and these guys are arguing over whether they are going to be rich or richer? I know there is a little more to it than that, but c'mon guys. Take your millions or billions, be glad you get that much, and lets play some damn football. It's all the little people that are going to suffer the most!
I bet I could walk my ass into one meeting in my cargo shorts, t shirt, sandals, a LandShark Beer....can I say LandShark? Hell, it's my Blog, I say what I want till someone tells me I can't, then have this agreement done in no time. Do I sound "cocky"? I'm not. To me it's just a bunch of used car salesman trying to close a deal and they can't, so they do what people in the car sales business do, it's called a "TURN OVER". Which brings in the supposedly better "closer" sales manager and he tries to close the deal. They just don't have a good closer! In this case I suppose the closer would be a lawyer or lawyers.
I wonder how many players would retire or quit if all of a sudden they were not making millions of dollars? and I mean in all sports. How many owners do you think would sell their teams if they were not making billions? What if the sport was played for the sport? Played for the competition? By players that hate losing more than they like winning? Owned by Owners that Love the game just as much?

What if professional athletes knew coming out of college they were going to max out at a certain amount of money like a regular job? That they had to earn their raises like a regular job? That no matter how good they are, they will never make more than a certain amount of money, no matter who they are? Would they still want to play if there were no multi million dollar signing bonus in their future? Or would they go work in whatever degree they acquired while in College? I wonder.

My mind is reeling right now of players from not that long ago that seemed to play football because they LOVED it. I'm not talking about these sissy's that run out of bounds to avoid a hit and worry about their contract. I mean players that would hit you hard for an extra yard or even harder to stop you from that extra yard!
I'm a Dolphins fan so the first person that comes to mind is Larry Csonka. Nothing seemed to stop this man. When he ran the ball he LOOKED for someone to hit as he ran! Hell, I think he ran better when he was bouncing off of people! You could just see it in his face and how he played the game, he loved football.  A few more players that come to mind: Jack Lambert, Ronnie Lott, John Lynch, Ottis Anderson, Dwight Stephenson, Lawrence Taylor, Randy White. I could go on and on.

Lets pretend for a minute that Football started all over. OMG, what will I do for my Fantasy draft? The world wide depression of missing all of our famous rich players would be dramatic! Physciatrist would be reeling in the bucks! Bars would have to cut beer prices in half to draw in customers. It would be world disaster!
Then some unknown guys or women, ballers, hitters, fighters, competitors..would step in. Really wanting to play the game. Wait a minute.....these guys/women are pretty good. Of course I have to now give a shout out to all the Ladies playing their hearts out in the LFL! OK, that's out of the way.
Hey, these unknown players have some real talent. Wow, who would have thunk it? Lets go get season tickets before the prices go up!
I have my favorite players in a lot of Leagues, and I would hate to see them leave but I have also seen a LOT of very talented players in several different sports that for one reason or another never get their chance in the "Bigs". I have seen street ballers on basketball courts that could make Kobe look stupid. The same is true in a lot of other sports.
So please guys, end this ridiculous Lockout talk, be happy with where you are, and lets move on for the small people and the fans. Don't worry, all of you will still be pimpin your big ass houses and collection of cars....and we will be wearing all our game day gear, grilling, and rooting you on!!!!

One dead, two others shot during robbery attempt at Clearwater home

http://www.tampabay.com/news/publicsafety/crime/one-dead-two-others-shot-during-robbery-attempt-at-clearwater-home/1163451

This is the stuff that gets under my skin. Almost this entire article was about the parties and how "rowdy" the house is. Who cares?!! Bitching neighbors and complaining makes a robbery less meaningful? Complain about that crap to the right people and do me a favor writers, stop downplaying what actually happened here. This was an ARMED ROBBERY ATTEMPT! The shooting may be related to a party or something else....whatever, it does not excuse an ARMED ROBBERY ATTEMPT. Just because they have parties and don't pick up after those parties does not mean it's OK to Rob the place!
No mention if the person that killed the robber was licensed to carry or not. He must have been, or that would be all over the article I would hope. The point here is, someone broke into a residence in an attempt to rob said residence. They were ARMED. So was an occupant of the home and they got shot. Guess what? I don't feel sorry for the robbers one bit. I might feel a little sorry for the reason this person somewhere in his life, was brought up to the point that he was willing to commit this crime, but they knew what they were doing the second they stepped into that home.
All the laws and changes involving gun control are making me dizzy. If that one occupant in that home was not armed and an unarmed person confronted one of the armed robbers, then an innocent non law breaking citizen could have been killed instead!
"But he was making a lot of noise during a party the night before and left a beer bottle in my yard"......ARGHHHHH
You crooks and robbers out there are going to realize soon, unless you're too dumb like these guys, that people are protecting themselves more and more, and if you go into someones home you better think twice whether it's worth the risk!
Now the LEGAL concealed weapon holders in Florida are going through another battle on another changing gun law. Check out the link and email the people listed if you care.

What is so ridiculous is getting a gun is easier for the common criminal than it is for a non criminal. I am legally licensed to carry and yes I have guns. I go to the range with my buddies and I enjoy the sport of shooting. I respect the weapons and understand the weapons. I also take extreme care to abide by the law with them. I also know how to protect my home from any threats, just in case any "robbers" were getting any dumb ideas!
I say leave the law abiding citizens that are protecting themselves alone and lets go after the criminals!
There seems to have been a bit more stories just like this one recently across the US. It also seems that when the stories are covered, the coverage is all about how sad the dead criminals family are, or what a tragedy the criminal had to die. What about the victims? What about the laws that were broken? The victim was actually able to save himself or herself and the story turns to that sad dead criminal? The homeowner survived and the robber is dead so lets write about the robber? Does anyone think that the person that had to defend themselves in fear for their life might have issues for the rest of their life just for the trauma of doing what they had to do to survive?
It's sad when ANYONE dies, but you know what? Maybe, just maybe, you should not break into someones home armed or not? Just a suggestion....

Hospital Nightmare

I just spent 3 miserable days in the hospital. So I have been out of the loop a bit. However, I learned some very valuable and irritating lessons while there. So now I have something that pisses me off enough to write about it, even though I feel like crap.
First off, I have very good health Insurance. I pay out the wazoo for it, so I should know! On day three I was all but thrown out of the hospital with a bunch of lies and a Doctor that I felt could care less about my well being.
For my followers, and the people that read my long blogs, you may understand quite a bit of what type of a person I am. I can hang pretty much with any one I want and fit right in. One thing I am not though, is stupid. I am a smart, articulate (when I want to be) man. I had my laptop in my hospital bed and was researching my diagnosis the entire time. So needless to say, I was well versed on it. It all had to do with my diet. Which turns out is a pretty good diet that just needed a few changes. But boy was I in a lot of pain! For those that care to know it is diverticulitis.
I won't mention the Hospital because I don't want people to think the place is all bad. The entire staff were very nice to me with the exception of the most important person during my stay...my actual Doctor. That Wench was mean and condescending from the start. I mean what's wrong with you Doctors these days? This is not the first time I have been treated this way simply because I researched and knew a lot of what was going on with me before I go to the Doctor. I mean, are Doctors intimidated? Pissed off because you went to so many years of school and I happen to know more than the average person when I get there? Or do you think I'm a know it all? Sorry if I like to know what's going on with me before I waste a trip to the hospital! jeez There is a lot of info out there in these Internet days!
I call the disease the "Diver" for short. So besides the Diver a had a few other things I wanted the doctor to check out. I know for a fact my nurse let her know about them but the Doc never even asked about them, much less care.
I am great at reading people as soon as I meet them and I could tell within the first few seconds of meeting this doctor that she did not like me or her job or whatever for some reason.  In 3 days I saw her maybe a total of 10 minutes and those 10 minutes seemed like an eternity, and it took all of my self control not to go off and ask what her problem was. So many rude comments and condescending hints that is was unbearable. I wanted to smack her in the face with my IV bag! Of course I thought better of it.
On day three, my Primary Care doctor is trying very hard to get in touch with this attending Doctor. She had some requests and recommendations. After I annoyed all the right people  enough, here comes the Wench. Pissed off and ready to send me home she says. I asked her to please touch base with my Primary Care Doc, so she left and called her. In the meantime, a few SECONDS later, a Case Manager comes to my room and advises me that my Insurance company says I have to leave and this will be my last day there.
I can't prove it, but I know damn well the attending Doc had something to do with this. I immediately call the Insurance Company and find out this is all a LIE! In fact my Insurance Company says I'm in good standings and can stay as long as needed and they have NOT been contacted by this hospital!
I find out later that the hospital apparently has a "book" that they go by that gives a general description of what insurance companies will and will not pay for and they decided that my insurance company "might" not pay for a longer stay. Guess work from a book? are you kidding me? You mean to tell me your are playing around with my disease and pain because a "book" says it "might" not be covered? Then this Bitch of a Case Manager (I say bitch because maybe she had a bad day...not my problem) says she never said that about the insurance. I look her straight in her eyes with the Managers next to her and say"don't you dare call me a liar. Those were your exact words which is why I immediately called my insurance". She shut up quick.
Now I'm really pissed! I asked for every ones BOSS to be in my room and said "I MEAN NOW"! All of a sudden I have Managers standing in my room and I am letting them all have it. Maybe some poor old person that doesn't know any better would have said OK and just left, but not me. Now everyone is really taking back their words. I get the name and number of the person in charge of the entire hospital and will be following up with him after this blog entry.
So, 3 days of diet advice from the entire staff at the hospital and several close friends with the exact same problem, and still in a lot of pain. You would think I would have been released with at least a diet plan or recommendation or something right? or even some pain meds right? Noooomeds, and no restrictions at all, even though I was straining just to lift my laptop bag. So again, I asked for the Nurse Manager to document this and all of a sudden I'm getting a script for pain! Wow, funny how that works. Then I ask about the diet. They actually told me to google it!  I was at a loss for words for once!
Disgrace is the word that comes to mind here. There are a lot of people out there that are not as fortunate as I am to have Insurance like me and I get treated this way? I was annoyed at all the people in admitting that were being given a hard time because of no insurance and how long they were delaying my treatment. NOW, I feel sorry for those people. NOW I understand.
All I can say is this people. When you are in a hospital, you are the CEO of your body. You take charge. Don't just do what you are told. If you feel you need a CAT Scan demand it, if you feel like you need ANYTHING at all DEMAND it. If you hurt, tell them. Do some research if you have the chance on what you have. Don't try to be a "know it all", you don't wanna piss off the Doctors,  but definitely ask for whatever you feel you need because they will not just be offering it to you.
It seems to me costs are being cut everywhere at the patients expense, which is just my opinion, but the hospital had no problem charging my wife $59,000 just for a bed and a room (not including treatment) during a 9 day stay for her at a different hospital recently. Hell, a badasss vacation in Tahiti doesn't cost that much!
Also, not just Doctors. Anyone that deals with the public. If you don't like what you are doing or just don't care...please quit. Don't take it out on us, the customers. Especially the people that don't know any better! Sooner or later someone is going to stand up and make a big deal of it all and it isn't going to be pretty....
